Have you seen supercross before?

Nope. Never even heard of it. But I'm always up for learning about something new. ^_^

Our annual supercross party is gearing up for tonight. We've got our suite reserved for Phoenix too. I've got to admit I'm a little weirded out by all the familiar names that'll be missing this year. No RV or JS but should be interesting to see who steps up and stays healthy, changing of the guard again I guess. These guys blow through their prime so fast it makes me feel old.

I love Supercross! Atlanta finally got two dayes, back to back (Feb 21 and 28) and I'll be out of town for both working on the West Coast. Dammit!

Maybe I can catch them there sometime this spring...

There are two classes, the SX lites (250cc bikes) and the 450ccs. There will be two heat races per class, one LCQ per class and one main event per class.

They'll be missed, but it should tighten the racing up a bit too.

Interesting. Hopefully I'll be able to catch it. Thanks for the heads up.

Definitely. I dont think having one guy win 4 or 5 championships in a row is good for any series. The NHRA and John Force is kinda the exception. Funny how I went from hating reed ten years ago to loving the guy for having the guts to run his own show the last few years. It's probably Roczens year but should be fun to see whether Barcia or any of the other guys can be consistent.

It's hard not to root for Reed after all he's been through. He loves racing too much to stop, even though he could retire comfortably with a perfectly respectable career behind him. I doubt he will beat Roczen in the end, though.
